On Wednesday Nights, students meet downstairs in the youth room starting at 5:30 PM for a time of fellowship. Students can choose from many different activities from visiting the snack shack, to playing basketball, air hockey, ping pong, or video games. This is a great time for students to build relationships with other students in the ministry and to bring some new friends to introduce to their youth group!
At 6:30PM, students head upstairs to the youth worship center to worship with our student-led band and to hear a message from our youth pastor, Christian Kemp. Throughout the 2022-2023 school year, our student ministry walked through a series of lessons entitled The Year Of Promise: A Study Through the Minor Prophets. We walked through every book of the Minor Prophets in order to better understand the grand narrative of Scripture, as well as to understand the implications the Old Testament has for us today! To close out the semester and make way for the summer, we walked through a series of lessons entitled FAQ: Tackling Relevant Topics, where for a series of four weeks, we invited individuals who are credible sources of information on specific topics to join us in conversing about relevant topics to middle school and high school students today. We talked about Addiction, Transgenderism, Speaking in Tongues, and Evolution. For each of these topics, we sought to answer this question: What does the Bible say about this topic?
